Redeemable sale versus pawn, and why the system must understand both
Legally, a pawn hands over property as security for a debt, and running a pawn business needs a pawnshop licence, so most gold shops work as redeemable sales instead: the customer sells the gold to the shop with the right to buy it back within an agreed time, paying the agreed fee or interest. The words get mixed at the counter, but the system has to record what the shop's paperwork actually says.

Gold savings: another job that belongs in the same system
Gold savings lets a customer deposit money with the shop over time, converted into gold weight at each day's price, until there is enough to collect real gold. The system opens the account, records each deposit with that day's price, accumulates the weight, and lets both shop and customer see the history. Can interest be calculated the way our shop does it?
Yes. Rate and method follow what the shop actually charges, monthly, daily or with a minimum. We look at the shop's tickets and arithmetic before designing, rather than forcing the shop to adopt the program's method.
How do existing open tickets get into the system?
We migrate open tickets with their start dates and accrued interest so the system continues correctly from that point, and check the totals with the shop before go-live.
Can staff edit a ticket after the fact?
Not on their own. Owner and staff permissions are separate, key entries pass an approval step, and every change records who made it and when, so the owner can audit at any time.
Can it print tickets and receipts in our own format?
Yes. We design the forms to match what the shop uses today, for tickets, renewal slips and receipts, printed straight from the system.
